We are looking for potential candidates for the following position:

Lifting Gear Inspector

Job Description

  • Carry out Site Test & Inspection services on a wide range of lifting accessories and appliances to relevant standards and codes.
  • Be responsible for the Preparation of Yard and Workshop Testing / Certification requirements, Operation of 300t Horizontal Test Bed.
  • Support the Workshop Riggers with manufacturing of slings, spooling and dispatch functions.
  • Promote a safety first client satisfaction attitude.
  • Participate in the HSE and Competency culture within the Gaylin Group.
  • Travel as required to fulfil his / her role.
  • Operate Forklift truck.

Candidate Attributes

  • Vietnamese with Advanced / Expert English, Speaking, Reading and Written skills.
  • Previous Lifting Gear industry inspection experience.
  • Good working knowledge of Internationally recognised inspection practises
  • Inspection Training or Competency Certificates (example) Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) Bridon, Sparrows, Enermech.
  • Mechanical back ground, preferable.
  • Offshore survival training certificates, (Not a must but an advantage)
  • Experience of MPI, DPI technique testing of Welds, Cast and Alloy components, Minimum SNT Level II, PCN an advantage.
  • Rigging and Sling manufacturing (Wire Rope Pressing an advantage)
