Job description

Maintenance Supervising Leader is responsible to conduct supervising staffs to plan efficient execution of maintenance work and direct contractors in the safe, reliable and environmentally sound in assigned area in accordance with established maintaining procedures and written and oral instruction from Deputy Section Manager.

The main responsibility is as follows

  • Coordinate maintenance execution plan with Operation Division and contractors based on the work specification prepared by Maintenance Planning, and utilize computer based work scheduling program for planning and execution control of maintenance works.
  • Work closely with Maintenance Planning to;
  • Visit job sites to determine special job requirements.
  • Establish daily and weekly maintenance schedule considering optimum use of resources and maintenance workload.
  • Participate in the weekly schedule coordination meetings.
  • Ensures that a complete planning package is attached to the work order and indicate and direct maintenance schedule to Contractors assigned.
  • Arrange for and schedule support service equipment etc. to coincide with the work order scheduling.
  • Finalize the Weekly Schedule for Operation Division’s approval.
  • Prepare daily schedules from the approved Weekly Schedule.
  • Ensure that materials are on-site prior to scheduling the job.
  • Work at maintenance site to;
  • Witness, oversee activities at site and provide work direction as necessary.
  • Confirm and approve the completion of maintenance works.
  • Ensure that site is clear and back to normal after completion, and surplus materials are returned to the proper materials handling personnel for eventual return to the warehouse.
  • Maintain maintenance history files such as entering maintenance data to the system.
  • Ensure accuracy of all maintenance performance monitoring data for assigned area, segment, unit or division.
  • Mentor the less experienced engineers in the group.
  • Utilize extensive knowledge of craft skills and knowledge of the equipment involved and places job steps in the proper sequence to ensure efficient completion of work to meet operational requirements.
  • Ensure that surplus materials are returned to the proper materials handling personnel for eventual return to the Warehouse.
  • Arrange for and schedule support service equipment, to coincide with the work order scheduling.
  • Ensure that a clear understanding exists of which jobs will be worked in the upcoming week.
  • Coordinate daily schedules with maintenance foremen, supervisor and operations foremen and ensure that a complete planning package is attached to the work order.
  • During EPC phase, Leader should work for the following job together with other maintenance management team.
  • CMMS Workflow development
  • Develop Tier 3 and 4 procedures
  • Survey daily maintenance company
  • Maintenance Machine shop design and operation
  • Warehouse work design
  • Attend and train new employees
  • Participate in Construction Work Quality and Safety Assurance
  • Direct Supervises: 11 Supervising Staff

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical, instrument, electrical or equivalent
  • Min 10 years experiences in petroleum / petrochemical plant or equivalent
  • Passionate dedication to maintaining safe operations enforcing strict conformance with all government regulations, and applicable company procedures and policies.
  • Strong decision making abilities under pressure and innovative to generate new ideas.
  • Prior craft supervisory experience is desirable.
  • Should have a familiarity of Critical Path Scheduling.
  • Incumbent must possess prior experience with the use of computerized maintenance planning, scheduling and performance monitoring programs.
  • Knowledgeable with international standards, petroleum / petrochemical plant materials and equipment.
  • Experience of maintenance work control and planning.
  • Report writing and presentation skills
  • English skills IELTS 6.0
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
