    Job Description

    PTSC CGGV GEOPHYSICAL SURVEY CO., LTD – Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu
    Gun Mechanic

     

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • Operate and maintain seismic mechanical equipment including source, wide tow and back-deck equipment (plus workboat equipment, where applicable)
    • Performs back-deck, workboat, and port call operations
    • Basic operations on gun controller
    • Basic maintenance on guns and source arrays (high pressure air systems).
    • Handling of source arrays, deflectors, and buoys
    • Basic operations and maintenance on seismic lifting and towing appliances (high pressure hydraulic systems)
    • Operates within vessel working instructions
    • Participates in the QHSE system (meetings, reporting, drills, audits, etc.)

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Technician with mechanical education and 2 years’ experience minimum (general mechanics, maritime engineering)
    • Ability to speak at an excellent level of English
    • Highly motivated for an offshore career
    • Experience at sea if preferred
    • Equal time off and equal time worked rotations (5 or 6 weeks on / 5 or 6 weeks off)
